Summer, Salt-Sweet

This Flashback Friday bit of micro-poetry brought to you by summer restlessness and the unreal natural beauty of Capri, located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the coast of Italy. I hope to visit again and linger longer.

Summer, salt-sweet

Summer drips honeyed heat
and I remember you,
and limestone cliffs
and Roman ruins,
our days salt-sweet.
Your kiss lemon-tart.
Your eyes blue
as the seas of Capri.
